Dr. Stephanie Bryant, formerly Hornquist, was born and raised in Fernie, BC where she spent most of her time participating in various sports, predominately figure skating. She was a Regional, Provincial, and Canadian Gold Medalist throughout her skating career and skated professionally with Disney On Ice for 2 years prior to beginning her undergraduate and graduate studies. She is the owner and chiropractor of Kootenay Chiropractic and Sports Performance in Fernie. She is excited to have joined our team at Cranbrook Chiropractic & Wellness Centre.
Stephanie began to pursue her undergraduate studies in Sports and Exercise Science at the College of the Rockies and the University of Lethbridge until completing all of her degrees at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, a Master of Science in Sports Medicine, as well as her degree in Chiropractic. Stephanie has completed additional training in pediatrics with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, athletic development and rehabilitation with the Prague School to Athletic Development, and chiropractic analysis and adjusting techniques with the Motion Palpation Institute. She is also a Kinesio Taping Practitioner and an Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP).
Dr. Stephanie believes in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care with an emphasis on empowering her clients to actively be involved in their care. She believes that everybody is different and provides individualized care utilizing a variety of techniques. Stephanie is incredibly grateful to be able to not only practice in her hometown, but to have the opportunity to also help the community of Cranbrook achieve their goals.
